Shjosan worked on expanding Swedish language support for the OsmAnd and OsmAnd-iOS repositories, focusing on localization and user interface design to improve accessibility for Swedish-speaking users. Using Swift and XML, Shjosan completed the full translation of OsmAnd-iOS and advanced OsmAnd Android’s Swedish localization to near completion, leveraging Weblate to streamline translation workflows and enable auditable progress tracking. The work included enhancements to parking and navigation features, directly addressing user experience needs. By prioritizing localization quality and cross-platform consistency, Shjosan’s contributions laid the groundwork for broader internationalization and increased the app’s usability for a wider, multilingual audience.
