Worked on repository hygiene for the wasmCloud/wasmCloud project by updating the .gitignore to exclude WIT dependencies and removing previously tracked WIT-related files. This targeted cleanup reduced repository clutter and minimized the risk of accidentally committing dependency files, directly improving maintainability and onboarding for new contributors. The approach focused on dependency management and repository maintenance, ensuring more consistent and reproducible continuous integration workflows. All changes were implemented using WIT and standard version control practices, with commit messaging aligned to team standards for clearer project history. No bugs were fixed during this period, as the work emphasized long-term maintainability and developer experience.
