Worked on the openshift/origin repository to enhance backend reliability and testing workflows using Go and Kubernetes. Developed resilience-focused test coverage for the Gateway API Controller, implementing negative tests to ensure subscriptions, deployments, and DNS records are properly recreated after deletion, which improved system fault recovery and CI stability. In a subsequent effort, simplified deployment testing for istiod by removing a brittle OSSM subscription test, reducing maintenance overhead and accelerating test cycles. The approach emphasized automated test development, documentation of critical API flows, and streamlining test scaffolding, resulting in more efficient feedback loops and safer deployment changes within the project.
