Worked on the sillsdev/web-xforge repository to address a critical issue affecting Lynx Insights visibility when chapters contained invalid USFM data. Applied a targeted bug fix that introduced UI-level validation checks, ensuring insights are only shown if the feature flag is enabled, the user has chapter edit permissions, and the USFM is valid. This approach, implemented using Angular, RxJS, and TypeScript, reinforced data integrity and improved user trust by preventing the display of misleading insights. The solution reduced confusion for translators and editors, aligning the application’s behavior with business requirements and lowering support risk through more consistent and reliable insights visibility.
