Simar Saggu developed a descriptive text enrichment feature for bird species data in the DataBytes-Organisation/Project-Echo repository. Using Python and leveraging skills in data curation and data engineering, Simar enhanced the dataset by adding detailed narrative metadata for each species. This enrichment aimed to improve data discoverability, support more accurate analytics, and provide UI-ready content for downstream applications. The work focused on increasing the depth and quality of the birds corpus, ensuring that all changes were clearly traceable within the repository. No bugs were addressed during this period, with efforts concentrated on delivering this targeted data enhancement.
