Worked on the rdkcentral/meta-rdk-video repository to address a critical playback resumption issue affecting Pandora streaming. Focused on restoring seamless playback by reverting a WebKit change that previously blocked play() calls during seek operations, which had caused interruptions and prevented correct play event emission. Utilized C++ and Shell scripting to implement and validate the patch, ensuring that playback could resume smoothly after seeking and that event handling was reliable. Emphasized code hygiene, thorough regression checks, and effective cross-team collaboration throughout the process. The work stabilized the video playback stack, directly improving service reliability and user experience for streaming scenarios.
