Worked on the janhq/jan repository with a focus on improving system stability and resource management rather than delivering new user-facing features. Addressed a bug related to Claude Code Server stop events by enhancing environment variable cleanup, which reduced the risk of resource leaks during shutdown. Improved abort signal handling for fetch requests in the mlx and llamacpp extensions, ensuring more robust behavior in stop scenarios. Utilized Rust and TypeScript within a full stack development context, prioritizing reliability and maintainability. The work laid a foundation for future enhancements by tightening shutdown processes and minimizing failure risks in critical server operations.
