Worked on the cloudoperators/greenhouse-extensions repository to enhance Thanos ruler configuration, focusing on improving monitoring setup for Kubernetes environments. Introduced new options for external and replica labels, as well as configurable evaluation intervals, allowing operators greater flexibility and control. Enabled Thanos Query by default to streamline deployment and improve data accessibility. Updated inline comments and aligned default values to ensure clarity and consistency across the configuration. Leveraged DevOps practices and Helm charts, with changes implemented in Go and YAML, to reduce setup friction and support safer rollouts. The work improved onboarding and configurability for operators managing observability in cloud-native systems.
