Worked on security hardening for the IBM/portieris repository, focusing on remediating vulnerabilities and updating dependencies to improve compliance and production readiness. Addressed multiple CVEs by upgrading the base image to ubi9 and updating the Go toolset, ensuring the platform remained current with security standards. Utilized skills in DevOps, Docker, and Go to implement targeted fixes, including patching CVE-2024-9676 and CVE-2023-44487 and updating dependencies to resolve CVE-2024-45337 and CVE-2024-45338. The work enhanced the security posture of the deployment pipeline, demonstrating a methodical approach to vulnerability management and platform maintenance within a Kubernetes environment.
