During October 2025, Sam Edwards focused on stabilizing release automation for the stargate/data-api repository by addressing a key configuration issue in the CI/CD workflow. He updated the release process to reference IBM-hosted assets, such as favicons and contact information, replacing previous dependencies on datastax.com resources. This change, implemented using YAML and configuration management best practices, reduced external dependencies and aligned the release pipeline with IBM’s branding and support requirements. By linking the update to internal issue tracking, Sam improved traceability and accountability.
