Developed a unified DNS management configuration for OpenStack Manila and Designate within the sapcc/helm-charts repository, focusing on centralized handling of DNS credentials and administration roles. Leveraged Python and YAML to author and refine Helm templates, integrating basic Designate configuration and establishing the cloud_dns_admin role for streamlined DNS administration. Addressed and resolved merge conflicts in templates and values files to ensure consistent configuration across services. This work laid the groundwork for automated DNS workflows, enabling more efficient management of DNS tasks in cloud infrastructure environments. The approach emphasized configuration management and DevOps best practices to support scalable OpenStack deployments.
