Worked on the JetBrains/intellij-community repository to address build stability and plugin compatibility, focusing on issues related to the Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) plugin. Applied backend development and build system expertise to temporarily exclude the KMP plugin from plugin dependencies validation, preventing interference during continuous integration. Updated the inlay configuration group version to maintain compatibility while awaiting resolution of a related issue, ensuring ongoing developer productivity. Utilized Kotlin and plugin development skills to deliver targeted bug fixes that reduced build churn and minimized disruptions in the development workflow. The work demonstrated a methodical approach to maintaining stability in a complex codebase.
