Worked on the duckdb/community-extensions repository, focusing on the QVD extension to enhance analytics workloads. Developed and released version 1.0.0, updating DuckDB compatibility to address build stability and ensure seamless integration across versions. Leveraged Rust and YAML configuration to implement streaming read optimizations in version 1.0.2, decoding only projected columns to achieve substantial performance gains and reduce query latency. Applied data processing expertise to align extension dependencies and maintain a stable baseline with DuckDB 1.5.4. The work emphasized robust extension development, incremental releases, and performance-oriented design, directly improving resource efficiency for users relying on the QVD extension.
