The process involved updating dependency management configurations using XML and Java, followed by comprehensive validation through builds and regression testing to ensure no breaking changes were introduced. This upgrade incorporated upstream bug fixes and performance enhancements, resulting in reduced latency spikes and better throughput. Documentation and continuous integration test plans were also updated to reflect the new dependency version. The work focused on maintaining reliability and aligning the project with the latest supported libraries for ongoing stability.
