Worked on the storybookjs/storybook repository to implement conditional Webpack dependency loading for Angular Storybook with Vite integration. This feature enables Angular projects to use Storybook via Vite without incurring the overhead of unnecessary Webpack dependencies, improving both startup and build performance. The approach deferred installation of Webpack-related packages unless the Webpack path was explicitly chosen, reducing install size and simplifying the dependency graph. The implementation aligned with AnalogJS integration guidance to streamline Angular Storybook setups while maintaining compatibility with existing projects. The work utilized TypeScript, Angular, and Vite, laying the foundation for broader performance optimizations across Storybook repositories.
