Sofonias Abathun focused on enhancing codebase maintainability in the Expensify/App repository by standardizing formatting and improving readability across multiple files. Using React and TypeScript, Sofonias enforced Prettier-driven style guidelines, refactoring front end code to ensure consistent formatting and reduce future review overhead. This work included resolving Prettier check failures in the continuous integration pipeline, which helped streamline merges and prevent formatting-related regressions. By prioritizing code consistency, Sofonias enabled faster code reviews and smoother onboarding for new developers.
