Worked on enhancing cache statistics accuracy and reliability in the facebook/CacheLib repository, focusing on aligning reported metrics with the actual state of RAM and NVM caches. Addressed a targeted bug that previously caused discrepancies during task restarts, which could lead to false positives and hinder root-cause analysis. The solution involved updating cache accounting logic in C++ to ensure observability and correctness under production workloads. Collaborated closely with peer reviewers to validate changes and improve system programming practices. This work strengthened cache management by enabling faster detection of cache-related issues and supporting more reliable diagnostics for production environments using CacheLib.
