During December 2024, Soulmachine developed enhanced authentication support for the langchain repository by implementing cookie-based authentication in the Confluence Document Loader. This feature allowed users to initialize the loader with cookies as an alternative to personal access tokens, addressing enterprise security requirements and expanding integration options. Soulmachine updated the documentation to clearly outline the new authentication method, usage patterns, and security considerations, ensuring ease of adoption for other developers. The work was carried out using Python and Jupyter Notebook, with a focus on API integration and authentication. The contribution demonstrated depth in both technical implementation and user-oriented documentation practices.
