Worked on the hytech-racing/CCU repository to develop a debounced user interface toggle for displaying all cell temperatures and voltages in a real-time embedded system. The feature was integrated with the scheduler to ensure timely UI updates and connected to CAN data flows for accurate battery metric visualization. Using C++ and leveraging skills in embedded systems and hardware interfacing, the developer centralized display logic, improved code maintainability by removing magic numbers, and relocated button handling for cleaner architecture. Reliability was enhanced through millis()-based debounce logic and targeted loop fixes, with additional tests added to validate the display loop’s performance and stability.
May 2026 CCU development milestones: Implemented a debounced UI toggle to display all cell temperatures and voltages, integrated with the scheduler and CAN data flow; enhanced reliability and visibility of battery metrics.
