Worked on the penpot/penpot repository to enhance Dutch localization for the frontend, focusing on translation quality and maintainability. The approach involved updating PO files, specifically adjusting PO-Revision-Date and Last-Translator fields to ensure translation assets accurately reflected current content and contributors. Deprecated and refactored translation strings related to libraries, colors, components, and graphics were removed, streamlining the localization dataset and reducing potential inconsistencies. This work leveraged internationalization skills and proficiency with PO file formats, resulting in a more maintainable and consistent Dutch user interface. The improvements laid the groundwork for faster and more reliable future localization updates within the project.
