Worked on the slackhq/circuit repository to enhance the BottomSheetOverlay component in Android applications using Kotlin and UI design principles. Delivered a feature that introduces a configurable contentWindowInsets parameter, allowing developers to control how content interacts with system insets such as the status bar. This approach replaced hardcoded insets with a flexible API, ensuring that tall sheets respect system UI boundaries by default while still supporting edge-to-edge layouts when needed. Updated public constructors to align with ModalBottomSheet behavior, improved documentation, and maintained backward compatibility, resulting in a more robust and developer-friendly interface for managing visual correctness in overlays.
