During September 2025, Pears enhanced the jenkinsci/blackduck-security-scan-plugin repository by developing a new Black Duck Academy Resources section within the project’s README. Using Markdown and focusing on documentation best practices, Pears consolidated platform-specific getting started guides alongside a general Black Duck Academy resource link. This update centralized educational materials, streamlining the onboarding process for new users and contributors. The work addressed user enablement by reducing friction and time-to-first-use, aligning documentation structure with onboarding goals. While the contribution was limited to a single feature and did not involve bug fixes, it demonstrated thoughtful application of documentation skills to improve user experience.
