Worked on enhancing the ctu-mrs/ppa-unstable repository by expanding compatibility for legacy Linux distributions within the PPA management workflow. Developed a feature that introduced Rosdep support for End-Of-Life distros by adding a --include-eol-distros toggle to rosdep update commands in scripts managing PPA repositories. This approach enabled accurate retrieval of package information for older systems, addressing installation challenges on unsupported operating systems. Utilized Shell scripting and leveraged skills in package management and ROS to automate and document the process, laying the groundwork for reduced maintenance and broader install scenarios when handling EOL distributions in future development cycles.
