Worked on enhancing build reproducibility and packaging stability for the percona/percona-server repository, focusing on deterministic Debian packaging for test cases. Addressed a bug where nondeterministic changes were introduced by dh_strip_nondeterminism, which affected continuous integration reliability. The solution involved modifying rules.in to exclude .zip and .gzip archives, ensuring that builds remained consistent with the git repository and eliminating sources of nondeterminism. Utilized skills in build system configuration and Debian packaging, with Makefile as the primary language. This targeted fix improved the reliability of automated builds and contributed to more predictable and maintainable packaging workflows within the project.
