Worked on the braintree_android repository to enhance PayPalLauncher analytics by introducing an isVaultRequest parameter, enabling accurate tracking of vault versus non-vault requests. Addressed a telemetry gap by ensuring this parameter was correctly included in app-switch analytics events, which improved the fidelity of business metrics related to vault usage. The implementation involved Kotlin for Android mobile development and incorporated comprehensive unit testing to validate analytics event accuracy across different scenarios. This work focused on refining analytics instrumentation and code quality, supporting more data-driven decision-making for the product team while maintaining robust test coverage and clear separation of vault-related event flows.
