During December 2024, work focused on enhancing the developer experience and accessibility within the primer/brand repository. The developer upgraded the devcontainer and Node image to a TypeScript-friendly base, streamlining development environment consistency and improving tooling for contributors. Additionally, accessibility improvements targeted high-contrast themes by ensuring focus outlines remained visible and underlines were properly displayed on Button and Link components. These changes were implemented using CSS, containerization, and DevOps practices, with configuration updates in JSON and Shell. The work addressed both usability and maintainability, supporting a more inclusive user interface and a smoother onboarding process for future development efforts.
