During November 2025, Hoolooday contributed to the AvaloniaUI/Avalonia repository by implementing Windows long path support in the UriFromFilePath functionality. Using C# and focusing on backend development, Hoolooday addressed the challenge of handling file paths exceeding traditional length limits by introducing support for long path prefixes. To ensure reliability, they developed comprehensive unit tests that validated the conversion between long file paths and URIs, thereby improving the robustness of file path handling across different environments. Although the scope did not include bug fixes, the work enhanced test coverage and reduced the risk of path-related errors in cross-platform scenarios.
