Over a two-month period, contributed to Shopify/tapioca and Shopify/rubocop-sorbet by enhancing type inference and linting reliability in Ruby projects. Addressed a core issue in Tapioca’s DSL, ensuring that ActiveRecord’s select with a block now returns an array of records, which improved type generation accuracy and reduced downstream errors. In rubocop-sorbet, refined the autocorrect behavior for Sorbet’s SuggestedStrictness cops, clarifying documentation and aligning linting with recommended strictness strategies. Demonstrated expertise in Ruby, metaprogramming, and code analysis, with a focus on improving developer experience, reducing manual corrections, and supporting safer, more predictable code generation and static analysis workflows.
