During November 2025, Dr. Feng contributed to the pinterest/starrocks repository by addressing a critical build issue affecting ARM architecture compatibility. He resolved a compile break by conditionally including architecture-specific headers, ensuring that ARM builds succeeded in continuous integration environments and maintained parity with x86 results. This work required a strong command of C++ development, cross-platform system programming, and the use of C/C++ preprocessor directives to manage architecture-aware code paths. Although the contribution focused on a single bug fix rather than new features, it improved build stability and maintainability, laying groundwork for future enhancements in cross-architecture support within the project.
