Worked on improving the reliability of the Kanban board workflow in the NousResearch/hermes-agent repository by addressing issues related to board pointer stability. Focused on backend development using Python, the work involved adding an existence check within the get_current_board function to handle cases where the pointer referenced a non-existent board. To ensure uninterrupted workflow, a fallback mechanism was implemented to default to a valid board when necessary. Additionally, a regression test was introduced to verify that Kanban board functionality could be restored after pointer drift. This effort emphasized robust database management and thorough testing to maintain consistent user experience.
