Developed and delivered Bioconda packaging for bam-tide, a Rust-based BAM processing and coverage tool, within the bioconda/bioconda-recipes repository. The work involved creating a complete Bioconda recipe for version 1.2.2, integrating Bash scripting and Rust programming to automate installation of the bam-coverage and bam-subset-tag binaries. Addressed and resolved Rust build issues, including patching rust-htslib for compatibility, and stabilized the CI process to ensure reliable builds. Incorporated cargo-bundle-licenses to maintain dependency license compliance and updated metadata to align with conda-forge standards, preparing the package for broader distribution in the bioinformatics community. Collaborated closely with a co-author.
