Worked on the mongodb/node-mongodb-native repository to enhance the reliability of write operations under timeout conditions. Addressed a bug where write concern settings were not correctly applied when timeouts were specified by refactoring the codebase to use WriteConcernOptions instead of WriteConcernSettings. This change ensured proper interaction between timeouts and write concerns, directly improving the correctness of backend operations. Expanded integration test coverage using JavaScript and TypeScript to validate write behavior both with and without timeouts, preventing future regressions. Focused on backend development and testing, the work contributed to greater stability and maintainability of the MongoDB Node.js driver codebase.
