Worked on the jenkinsci/ec2-plugin repository to address a critical issue affecting the reliability of cloud configuration workflows in Jenkins. Focused on backend development using Java, the work involved delivering a targeted bug fix that restored the ability to view and save EC2 cloud configurations through the Jenkins UI. The technical approach included introducing a DataBoundConstructor to AmazonEC2Cloud for improved form binding, adding getters to SlaveTemplate, and implementing a DescriptorImpl for the deprecated AmazonEC2Cloud class. These changes enhanced UI binding, data access, and maintainability, ultimately streamlining cloud configuration management and reducing the risk of misconfigurations in production environments.
