Worked on the unslothai/unsloth repository to deliver a targeted dependency upgrade focused on GPU compatibility and performance. Upgraded the Triton-XPU library to version 3.6.0, ensuring seamless integration with IntelGPUTorch210 and leveraging new optimizations for improved GPU workload stability. Adjusted the packaging configuration in pyproject to align dependencies with the updated library, reducing maintenance risk and supporting long-term maintainability. The work centered on Python development and dependency management, with no major bug fixes during the period. This approach enhanced the repository’s ability to support evolving hardware requirements while maintaining a stable and efficient development environment.
