Worked on the SAP/ui5-builder repository to enhance Theme Designer icon theming by improving svg.less import resolution. Developed a reusable static helper method in JavaScript to centralize and streamline the rewriting of import paths, making future extensions straightforward. Leveraged LESS and Node.js to ensure that icon overrides resolve correctly for custom themes without disrupting parent theme overrides, aligning with last-definition-wins behavior. Added comprehensive unit tests to validate the robustness of svg.less path rewrites against theming changes. The work focused on maintainability and extensibility, delivering a targeted feature that improved quality without introducing new bugs during the development period.
