Worked on the 86Box/86Box repository to deliver a complete Spanish localization of the application, translating 1005 user-facing strings for full coverage. Focused on improving accessibility for Spanish-speaking users by implementing a Weblate-based translation workflow, which supports ongoing localization and future language expansion. Utilized PO files and internationalization (i18n) best practices to ensure accuracy and maintainability throughout the process. The approach emphasized collaboration and traceability, with all work recorded through commit-based tracking. This effort established a scalable localization pipeline, enabling the project to reach a broader audience and streamline onboarding for non-English users without introducing new bugs.
