During February 2025, Stus focused on enhancing GPU readiness for the ibm-granite/granite-tsfm repository by modernizing its dependency management. Stus upgraded core Python dependencies, including accelerate, fastapi, huggingface-hub, and torch, and introduced CUDA toolkit-related packages to improve Linux GPU compatibility. This work prepared the project for GPU-accelerated workloads, addressing the need for robust support on modern hardware. The technical approach centered on careful dependency updates and integration, ensuring seamless operation with the latest GPU technologies. Stus applied expertise in Python development and dependency management, delivering a targeted feature that improved the project’s infrastructure without introducing new bug fixes.
