Developed a robustness upgrade for NotionNext by implementing a Notion Data Source Schema Parsing Fallback for Collection ID, addressing challenges with evolving Notion data structures. This feature introduced a fallback mechanism to infer the collection_id when stable metadata was missing, ensuring reliable parsing and merging of site and configuration data. The work focused on reducing ingestion errors and improving the resilience of data pipelines as Notion’s API changed. Leveraging JavaScript and Node.js within a full stack development context, the solution enhanced the reliability and maintainability of NotionNext, lowering ongoing maintenance needs and supporting seamless adaptation to future API updates.
