Worked on the IBM/ibm-block-csi-operator repository to enhance the upgrade process for HostDefiner by focusing on image validation and upgrade safety. Addressed a bug in the image validation logic, ensuring that upgrades only pull images from the official registry, which helps prevent unauthorized or mismatched images from being used during critical upgrade workflows. This backend development effort, implemented in Go, improved both the security and reliability of the upgrade path, reducing the risk of support issues related to image sources. The work demonstrates attention to operational safety and customer trust by enforcing stricter controls on image provenance during upgrades.
