During March 2025, Sunray Shen developed the foundational homepage skeleton for the Commit Challenge site in the Subset-UCSD/Commit-Challenge-2025 repository. Using HTML and front end development skills, Sunray created an index.html file that established a clean HTML5 structure, including a descriptive title, favicon, and meta description to support SEO and accessibility. The implementation featured a visible heading to confirm UI scaffold and enable early user validation. This initial work provided a solid base for iterative enhancements, demonstrating careful commit discipline and setting a repeatable pattern for future features, while addressing the need for a maintainable, user-facing entry point.
