Worked on the prometheus/node_exporter repository to enhance the robustness of the Thermal Zone Collector, focusing on stability in edge and containerized environments. Addressed a bug where EINVAL errors could cause collector-wide crashes by implementing error handling that returns ErrNoData, ensuring uninterrupted metrics collection on embedded devices and within Docker. This solution reduced downtime and maintained monitoring continuity across diverse deployments. The work demonstrated strong backend development skills in Go, with careful attention to error handling and system observability. All changes were co-authored and properly signed off, reflecting a collaborative and maintainable approach to hardware-adjacent metrics engineering.
