
In December 2025, Matthias Suykerbuyk delivered Dutch localization for the WalkScape Game tutorial in the Schamppu/walkscape-locales repository, enabling a complete Dutch-language onboarding experience. He achieved full string coverage by translating 30 tutorial strings using YAML and managed the process through Weblate, ensuring traceability and alignment with the game’s existing content. This work established an end-to-end translation workflow, allowing Dutch-speaking users to access the tutorial seamlessly. By focusing on localization and translation, Matthias expanded accessibility and improved user experience consistency, although the scope was limited to a single feature and did not involve bug fixes or broader engineering challenges.
