During October 2024, Luca Gorla developed Italian language translation support for the microsoft/playwright-vscode repository, expanding the extension’s accessibility for Italian-speaking users. He created new translation files in JSON and updated the localization configuration using TypeScript to integrate the 'it' locale throughout the project. Luca ensured end-to-end coverage by updating build and test processes, enabling seamless internationalization and localization. This work improved usability for a broader audience and strengthened the project’s localization pipeline for future language support. His contributions demonstrated practical front-end development skills and a methodical approach to configuration management, addressing the need for multilingual support without introducing new bugs.
