In April 2025, Sushil Tiwari developed an API enhancement for the IFRCGo/go-api repository, focusing on DREF global file retrieval and budget templating. Using Django and Python with the Django REST Framework, Sushil implemented a new API endpoint that programmatically exposes DREF global files and provides a standardized budget template URL. The work included creating a serializer and a viewset action to streamline access, as well as adding a new budget template file to support consistent budgeting workflows. Delivered in a single, auditable commit, this feature improved data accessibility and automation for DREF activities, reducing manual integration steps.
