Developed an API enhancement for the IFRCGo/go-api repository, focusing on DREF global file retrieval and budget templating to streamline data access for DREF activities. Leveraging Django and Python with the Django REST Framework, the work introduced a dedicated API endpoint, a serializer for global files, and a viewset action to serve a standardized budget template URL. The implementation included adding a new budget template file, reducing manual retrieval steps and supporting automation for downstream integration. Delivered as a single, fully traceable commit, the approach emphasized clean auditability and revertability, reflecting a methodical and maintainable backend development process.
