Worked on the atlanhq/application-sdk repository to enhance metadata extraction and authentication reliability using Python and event-driven architecture. Developed a feature that adds connection_qualified_name to the ExtractionOutput, enabling improved tracking and management of connection states within the metadata extraction process. Addressed a bug in the authentication flow by fixing the token refresh event binding and replacing a broken event bus import, ensuring correct event emission. Introduced targeted unit tests to validate authentication token refresh behavior, which improved test coverage and reliability. Demonstrated end-to-end ownership across backend development, metadata management, and testing, contributing to reduced incident rates and faster issue resolution.
