In November 2025, Steven Weshelo enhanced the Japanese localization for the SpectralPack/Cryptid repository, focusing on updating card descriptions and game elements to improve accessibility for Japanese-speaking users. He integrated localization workflows and managed translation data using Lua, ensuring accurate and context-aware translations throughout the game. By collaborating with the localization team and leveraging internationalization (i18n) best practices, Steven addressed translation quality assurance and prepared backlog items for future sprints. Although no bugs were fixed during this period, his work expanded the game’s reach in key markets and improved comprehension for players, demonstrating depth in localization and software internationalization.
