During November 2024, Swimablefish enhanced deployment flexibility for the Azure/kwok repository by adding hostNetwork support to the kwok Helm chart, specifically targeting kind clusters used in CI/CD environments. This feature, implemented using Helm, Kubernetes, and YAML, allowed deployments to utilize host networking, addressing common networking issues and streamlining testing workflows. Swimablefish updated documentation and default values to ensure the new option was easily discoverable and correctly applied. The work was focused and low-risk, introducing a practical improvement without causing regressions, and laid the foundation for future networking enhancements. No bugs were fixed during this period, reflecting a targeted contribution.
