During August 2025, ThioJoe developed a Visual Studio Code Tab Index Display feature for the ThioJoe/_tempFork_vscode repository, focusing on improving tab navigation within the editor. Using TypeScript and front end development skills, ThioJoe implemented a system that displays the order of open tabs, helping developers quickly identify and switch between files. The work included UI/UX design enhancements, such as a new name prefix option for resource labels and related settings changes, which improved labeling consistency and configurability. Code simplifications were also introduced, resulting in a more streamlined codebase. The feature addressed workflow efficiency by reducing cognitive load.
