Worked on the TEIC/TEI repository to enhance schema maintainability and metadata quality using XML and schema definition skills. Reorganized the TEI module’s attribute class inclusions, adding explanatory comments to clarify structure without altering schema behavior, which improved long-term maintainability. Addressed metadata reliability by correcting spelling errors in XMP elements and extending the schema with new source and versionDate attributes, supporting richer metadata and provenance tracking. Linked schema changes to internal tickets for traceability, ensuring auditability and supporting downstream data quality initiatives. Demonstrated a methodical approach to documentation and schema development, focusing on clarity, consistency, and maintainable XML-based solutions.
